*NHS England Hyperbaric chamber update *

As of the 14th May 25 it was announced that from 1 October 2025, that the number of Hyperbaric chambers was being reduced. Initially this was supposed to be from 8 to 6 (Poole closed in January ) however only 3 contracts have been awarded, DDRC, Chichester and Great Yarmouth.

This will result in a massive inequity of potential treatment available to divers from the midlands to the north of England after 1 Oct. We will be producing a press release & a petition (please sign & share!) however we wanted to get the news out quickly to raise awareness.

A petition will be launched in the next few days (it is not available at the time of publication of this article), Jeffs Diving World is also asking divers to consider writing to their MPs to voice their concerns.
