You can complete the online learning in your own time before arranging the practical workshops\, pool session and qualifying dives directly with Jeff. \nComplete the Diving Theory Online\nThe theory section is delivered through an easy-to-follow e-learning programme that you can complete at your own pace. \nYour online diving theory training includes: \n\nKnowledge reviews\nInteractive quizzes\nEssential diving safety information\nEquipment and underwater skills theory\nA final examination\n\nOnce you have completed the e-learning modules and final exam\, contact Jeff to arrange for your completed work to be checked and reviewed. \nPractical Diving Workshops\nAfter successfully completing the theory section\, Jeff will provide a selection of practical workshops to help prepare you for the confined-water and open-water stages of the course. \nThe workshops include: \nCompass and Underwater Navigation\nLearn how to correctly use a diving compass\, follow planned headings and improve your confidence when navigating underwater. \nDSMB Training\nUnderstand how to prepare\, deploy and safely use a delayed surface marker buoy during a dive. \nDiving Equipment Assembly\nLearn how to correctly assemble and check your scuba-diving equipment before entering the water. \nEquipment Disassembly and Care\nJeff will also demonstrate how to safely disassemble\, inspect and care for your diving equipment after use. \nTwo-Hour Pool Training Session in Portland\nA suitable date will be arranged for a visit to the pool in Portland\, where you will complete approximately two hours of practical skill training. \nDuring the pool session\, you will develop and demonstrate the essential skills required to dive safely and confidently. \nThe session will include: \n\nScuba-equipment familiarisation\nWater-entry and exit procedures\nBreathing underwater\nMask and regulator skills\nBuoyancy-control practice\nEmergency procedures\nWatermanship assessments\nGeneral underwater confidence development\n\nThe confined-water environment provides a safe and controlled setting in which to practise before progressing to open-water diving. \nFour Open-Water Training Dives\nThe final stage of the course consists of four open-water dives. \nThese will normally be completed as: \n\nTwo dives on the first day\nTwo dives on the second day\n\nThe dates can be arranged flexibly to suit your availability\, weather conditions and the planned dive location. \nDuring the open-water dives\, you will put your theory knowledge and pool skills into practice under professional supervision. \nCourse Pricing\nThe standard cost of the complete course is: \n£700 per person \nHowever\, a dual-enrolment opportunity is currently available. \nA potential student named Leon is also looking to complete the course.
